Happy Flash Your Stash Day! (Pic intensive!!)

flashyourstash2006

Okay... Here's the thing. I already had my stash "flashed" (photog'd) from an earlier stint... its supposed to keep me sane and also be an easy way for me to "access" its contents without digging around in the monstrosity (that no longer closes) and possibly waking a sleeping baby. So I thought I'd take my flash your stash "time" and pair much of my sock stash to published patterns they may someday become. As sock yarn rotates in here more than Morrissey/Marr, and as I didn't even attempt to look at my Sensational Knitted Socks or Simple Socks books for DIY patterns, its not definitive but a nice way for me to organize my stash even more. Inspired by the DIY kit from stash thread on Knitters Review...

All suggestions and input welcome! I also freely admit I got super tired of this "project" and quit on a lot of great online patterns that are out there but I didn't have the wind to try and match to stash, perhaps later. :)

The smaller yarn photos are links that will take you to a larger yarn photo in my flickr album, that may have a little more info about the yarn (mfr, weight, properties, etc.). An aside: I've got to upgrade to flickr pro I think! I'm already at my photostream limit of 200, and have only used it for 4 months!! The cheapskate in me is shying away from this prospect...

If you'd like to see all of the yarn in my stash, click on the big blue tub below and you'll be dropped to my stash album on flickr.

On with the show, and in no particular order (other than source)...

Loevely stash & I'm so impressed you have it all earmarked! I'm eagerly awaiting that dragon scale pattern as well!!! I wish you were right about the whole "coasting" thing. Somehow, I doubt it! One always needs more. I did manage to hold myself back from a purchase the other day w/ the club in mind so we'll see!

Holy Moley! I am always excited to read you blog because it seems like we have very similar tastes in both yarn and patterns! Many (most!) of the patterns you listed are ones I want to try, so I'm going to be watching to see how your choice of yarn works for the pattern. (Hey - did you get your HA cone from the co-op? Mine is in the mail and on it's way - you'll have to share some of your dye tips as I'll be dying mine also!)
