Happy flash your stash, 2007

Happy flash your stash 2007 :)
Originated @ knittyboard... see links to fellow flashers *here*.
(click on the large photo to advance to next pic, or select thumbs to skip ahead.)

Awesome browsing function from pictobrowser.

Info on yarns (names, colorways) attached to individual photos in my "flash your stash 2007" flickr set. (Someone convince me to go flickr pro, please. I'm a cheapskate who doesn't want to pay the 24.95/year, but its so cool and without it you can't see my 2006 flash set... ergh.)

Meanwhile, back on the farm...

Previous April 1 flash your stash (2006) HERE... be warned, pic intensive. Also (with the same warning), previous flash your sock yarn stash post here.

Happy happy... its actually a good thing, kicking me to list some languishing yarns on destash and order a whole bunch more (you'll have to wait for those pics!!)

...hoping to be back soon with a finished german stocking...

Flash your sock yarn stash. (Pic intensive).

I'm a sucker for stuff like this, "flash your sock yarn stash"-- originated @ knittyboard. You know you wanna play too!! :)

Pic intensive!!

I originally guessed I had about 30 pr. worth of socks in yarn, but its more like... 75 pair. I am embarrassed to show yall this, but we're all friends, right? :)

Apologizes in advance for some not-so-clear photos, my little bumblebee was having too much fun trying to play with the yarn and kept bumping into me as he "rearranged" it over & over. There are better pics of each individual skein somewhere on this blog (they've all been taken before, I'm pretty sure.)

On with it then.

bin
My sock yarn bin. It used to be just my yarn bin, but all non-sock stuff has been moved out. Granted, most of the stash is sock yarn... but 95L of socks is a lot.

Happy Flash Your Stash Day! (Pic intensive!!)

flashyourstash2006

Okay... Here's the thing. I already had my stash "flashed" (photog'd) from an earlier stint... its supposed to keep me sane and also be an easy way for me to "access" its contents without digging around in the monstrosity (that no longer closes) and possibly waking a sleeping baby. So I thought I'd take my flash your stash "time" and pair much of my sock stash to published patterns they may someday become. As sock yarn rotates in here more than Morrissey/Marr, and as I didn't even attempt to look at my Sensational Knitted Socks or Simple Socks books for DIY patterns, its not definitive but a nice way for me to organize my stash even more. Inspired by the DIY kit from stash thread on Knitters Review...

All suggestions and input welcome! I also freely admit I got super tired of this "project" and quit on a lot of great online patterns that are out there but I didn't have the wind to try and match to stash, perhaps later. :)

The smaller yarn photos are links that will take you to a larger yarn photo in my flickr album, that may have a little more info about the yarn (mfr, weight, properties, etc.). An aside: I've got to upgrade to flickr pro I think! I'm already at my photostream limit of 200, and have only used it for 4 months!! The cheapskate in me is shying away from this prospect...

If you'd like to see all of the yarn in my stash, click on the big blue tub below and you'll be dropped to my stash album on flickr.

On with the show, and in no particular order (other than source)...
